About Airbus

Airbus is a multinational enterprise that was the result of multiple European countries joining together to combine talent and advance Europe’s stance in the global competition. A leading entity in the aerospace industry, Airbus has customers and operations across the globe. Airbus and the Airbus Group were integrated in 2018. • Commercial Aircraft

Airbus offers a wide range of passenger aircraft, corporate jets, and freighters. Developments focus on creating a series of families that have commonality within their different components: airframes, on-board systems, cockpits, and handling systems. They have been able to achieve this goal while maintaining unique characteristics that make them beneficial for different operational requirements.

Passenger aircraft families include the A220, A320, A330, A350 XWB, and A380. The ACJ is a corporate jet family. Freighters include the A330-200F, A330P2F, and the Beluga. Their previous generation aircraft include the A300-600, A310, and A340 family.

• Helicopters

The Airbus Helicopters division offers civil, military, corporate, and pre-owned helicopters. Their products are used in a wide variety of applications and are adaptable to different mission types.

Civil helicopters are categorized as light single, light twin, medium, super medium, and heavy. Military helicopters are categorized as light, medium, and heavy. They also manufacture specialized helicopters for the military as well as HForce, an onboard weapon system.

• Defense and Space

The defense and space division is organized into four different segments: Military Aircraft; Space Systems; Communications, Intelligence & Security (CIS); and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). There are various types of defense products: fighters, UAVs, transport aircraft, various services, and security solutions. Space products categories include earth observation, telecommunications, space infrastructures, launchers, satellite navigation, space exploration, space equipment, and services.
