About Weidmuller

Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of electronics and electrical connectors. The company was founded in 1850 and now has more than 5,000 employees and distribution facilities throughout 80 countries. Many of their products consist of energy generation, mechanical engineering, process industry, renewable energy, device manufacturing, and more. Weidmuller was founded as a textile company in 1850, but after working with a development engineer Wilhelm Staffel from AEG Aktiengesellschaft (once one of the world's largest consumer electronics corporations), they were able to produce the first electrical engineering terminal for AEG in Berlin.
