About Epcos

EPCOS, now known as TDK Electronics AG, is a German manufacturer of electronic components, modules, and systems. The company was founded in 1999 from Siemens Matsushita Components, a 1989 joint venture between Siemens and Matsushita. Stock opened in 1999 in Frankfurt and New York City, with Siemens and Matsushita both holding 12.5% interests. In 2006, Siemens and Matsushita both sold their shares. The company was purchased by TDK Corporation in mid-2008 and renamed TDK-EPC in 2009. The company is now known as TDK Electronics AG.
